This fiber is from an organically fed and very loved Giant angora named Diamond.
Fiber is raw and brushed before hand to try to get out any hay or debris. You will need to card it or process it as you wish prior to spinning it.

Angora rabbit fiber is 7x warmer than sheep wool, much lighter and oh so soft!
We gently harvest the fiber by giving our angora rabbits a haircut every 90 days. This is absolutely essential for their health. In 90 days it grows to a length of about 3 inches, making it ideal for spinning. If you haven’t worked with angora wool in the past, this is quite the delight but it has a learning curve since angora wool is much finer. The end result however is luxurious and oh so soft!
Paola and Edmund Livingstone both come from the education field. Paola as a Spanish Teacher, and Edmund as a Early and Middle School Special Educator. Paola is a native from the Dominican Republic and has a farming background. Edmund has a woodworking background, and together they use these skills to teach others at the farm how to take care of the animals and how to build the infrastructure as needed.
